Our door and louvre ventilation panels are manufactured from planed and treated 75 x 50mm timber in our own joinery department using mortice and tenon joints. Also available are a range of steel framed doors with various cladding options.
Double doors can be fitted to the ends or sides of most structures. Available in either hinged or sliding options (sliding doors provided with aluminium extruded upper door track with in-built weather cowl and steel lower guide track which is concreted in situ).
Sizes vary according to width of structure. Louvre panels are designed to ventilate our polytunnels through the ends and swivel open on a central pivot. This form of ventilation is effective in tunnels up to a length of about 64'. In structures longer than 64' we would advise that you consider our ventilation systems.
Over lintel louvres
As the hot air rises and is trapped in the roof of the structure, consideration should be given to a heat build up in this area. over lintel louvres can be opened to dispel this heat build up and to promote a "current" as air is sucked through.
Single 'personnel' doors
Available in either hinged or sliding doors (sliding doors provided with aluminium extruded upper door track with in-built weather cowl and steel lower guide track which is concreted in situ).
Combinations of doors and louvres are possible for most structures e.g. Double Hinged (not sliding) doors and louvres. Please check with our sales office for sizes and compatibility.
A frame can usually be fitted into the side of your structure to accommodate a side door/louvre which may aid ventilation on longer structures.
